Crispiliano Contreras is a Boquete agronomist and the grower behind Finca El Trompo, a Geisha farm high in the Chiriquí highlands. For over thirty years, he has worked as a harvest and processing consultant for some of Panama’s most respected estates, among them are Deborah, Morgan, Altieri, El Destino, Elida, Cafelino, Agricola, and Don Benjie.

At Finca El Trompo, Crispiliano brings those decades of experience into a project of his own. The farm sits at around 2000 masl in Boquete, an elevation where Geisha can develop slowly before reaching full maturity. Rather than producing on a large scale, El Trompo is centred around Crispiliano’s own approach to growing and processing Geisha, shaped by years of working alongside some of Panama’s leading producers.

Lot 171 is naturally processed and slowly dried to develop sweetness, while the high elevation preserves the coffee’s remarkable clarity.
