Nestled in the Bolinda valley near Caranavi, Bolivia, Waliki is part of the Rodríguez family's collection of coffee farms. Known for their dedication to improving the quality and recognition of Bolivian specialty coffee, the family has spent years exploring different varieties, cultivation methods, and processing techniques.

Situated at approximately 1600 masl, Waliki covers 7.9 hectares of steep, mountainous land. The farm benefits from a unique microclimate, where cooler temperatures and the surrounding landscape create favourable conditions for coffee cultivation. Careful attention is given to soil management, plant health, and selecting varieties that thrive in this environment.

Among the varieties grown at Waliki is SL28, originally developed in Kenya and widely recognised for its distinctive character and quality potential. The combination of Bolivia's growing conditions and the Rodríguez family's approach to cultivation offers a different expression of this well known variety.

For this lot, ripe cherries undergo natural processing, where the fruit is left intact during drying. This allows the coffee to develop greater sweetness and fruit complexity while retaining the distinctive qualities of SL28.
